VIDEO: Amazon plans to use these flying drones to deliver goods, and soon

It's like science fiction, minus the fiction

If you’re looking to be amazed today, you should watch this short video from Amazon, introducing it’s new experimental project Amazon Prime Air.

The service, currently in development at Amazon’s R&D lab, aims to put purchases in the hands of customers within 30 minutes by delivering packages via drone (or “unmanned aerial vehicles”). The company says it’s currently working on improving the technology, and wants to put these little Prime Air vehicles in the air as soon as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) sets out the required rules and guidelines for their use.
