With a new book, Our Turn, that touts the benefits of female leadership, Kirstine Stewart might best be described as Canada’s Sheryl Sandberg. Stewart’s the living embodiment of her book’s mantra, “Women are primed to take their place among leaders at the top.” Her employer has clearly paid attention: She’s playing a big role in the fate of Twitter, which needs to boost user growth. Stewart is signing deals with news, entertainment and sports organizations to push content to the platform, giving people more reason to sign on.
