#28: Frank McKenna

Deputy Chair, TD Bank Group

Why he matters: Has a direct line to business and government

Frank McKenna has built an impressive array of contacts owing to his tenure as premier of New Brunswick and Canada’s ambassador to the U.S. It’s no wonder he was tapped to serve on the Liberal Party of Canada’s economic advisory panel, helping to craft a soon-to-be implemented agenda. He’s firmly rooted in the corporate world, too. In addition to serving as deputy chair of TD Bank Group, he’s chair of Brookfield Asset Management and a board member at Canadian Natural Resources. Few are as adept at moving between public and private sectors.
