Job Description:

Corporate Sales Managers bring in the cash for commercial, industrial, or wholesale enterprises. They’re on top of sales operations, which means everything hiring salespeople, defining policies and procedures, building relationships with clients, and working with marketing to boost those numbers.

Job Qualifications:

It’s possible to rise to this position after years of experience, but a degree or diploma in a business can help—especially if you’re overseeing a large sales department.

Salary:

Wages are rising at a vigorous 27.52% over the past five years to around $85,000.

Career Opportunity:

These positions are pretty hard to squeeze into. The number of new jobs grew in 2015, only to fall by half in 2016. For the medium-term, the outlook doesn’t look so great, either. New opportunities are projected to flatline until 2021, when job growth will renew again. Statistics Canada predicts employment for sales managers is projected to grow five percent from 2014 to 2024, “about as fast as the average for all occupations.”
