It’s been a great year for NBA superstar LeBron James: Olympic gold medal, league MVP and championship ring. So how does King James celebrate? Well, he starts by releasing a shoe so blinged out it costs as much as a new iPad mini. The LeBron X was unveiled on James’s own size-16 feet during the Olympic basketball final in August. Incorporating many of Nike’s latest manufacturing innovations (which often double as marketing hype), the LeBron X is the first non-special edition Nike sneaker to break the US$300 price barrier.
