VIDEO// The Surprising Benefit of a Flexible Management Style

Winner of the PROFIT 500 Award for Job Creation, QuickContractor.ca's Trevor Bouchard favours a transparent, flexible management style. Find out why

Written by Mira Shenker

Trevor Bouchard’s best advice for entrepreneurs starting a new venture? “Be open to change.” Sometimes you’ll end up with a company that looks very different from the one you originally envisioned.

The president and CEO of QuickContractors.com is also extremely open with his staff. As a result of the company’s flexible, transparent approach to management, Bouchard says they get more from their employees. “I’ve been very open to learning from my staff, and that’s been the biggest win for us,” he says.

Bouchard was at this summer’s PROFIT 500 CEO Summit accepting the award for Job Creation. The national, outsourced supplier of contractors who provide delivery, installation, assembly and renovation services has created the equivalent of 312 full-time jobs over the past five years.

Find out more about his flexible, transparent management style by watching PROFIT’s Q+A with him below.
