Every consumer-oriented business looking for ways to engage with Generation Y should take a lesson from Redwood Strategic. The company has developed CampusPerks, a proprietary communications platform that connects leaders of youth-oriented nonprofits, charities and athletic organizations with top retail brands for sponsorships.

Through its online platform, the firm has assembled an online community of more than 40,000 youth advocates, going beyond the traditional methods of flyers, posters and street teams used to reach Generation Y.

To market the social platform to prospective sponsors, Redwood reps frequently act as “thought leaders” speaking at industry events and even hosting lunch-and-learns at top advertising agencies such as Cossette and MacLaren McCann.
