TIMMINS, Ont. – Members of the United Steelworkers union employed by Goldcorp Inc. in Timmins, Ont., have ratified a collective agreement that includes a six per cent wage increase over three years.
The 275 members of USW Local 7580 will also receive a $1,500 signing bonus as well as improvements in pensions, benefits and contract language.
The union said 93 per cent of votes cast were in favour of the agreement.
Goldcorp (TSX:G) is one of Canada’s largest gold producers.
