VANCOUVER – Great Panther Silver says it will commit all available resources to determine the cause of a workplace accident that killed one of its workers at a mining complex in central Mexico.
The Vancouver-based company says a contract worker operating a scooptram died Friday at its Guanajuato mine complex, about 370 kilometres northwest of Mexico City.
The death is also being investigated by Mexican government agencies.
Great Panther Silver says it’s also reviewing safety procedures to eliminate or minimize hazards at the Guanajuato complex, which includes the San Ignacio mine, and the Topia mine in Durango.
