NEEDHAM, Mass. – It’s now easier to book a private world-class meal in cities around the world.
Travel website TripAdvisor announced Thursday that it has made an investment in social dining service EatWith that will help match travellers with local chefs for a unique dining experience in a private setting, often the chef’s own home.
The investment amount was not disclosed.
When travellers visit TripAdvisor’s restaurants pages they will be able to research social dining options under a new “Dine with a Local Chef” category and click through to EatWith to complete the booking.
The service will be available in 10 cities at first, with more to be added. Those cities are Barcelona, San Francisco, New York, Sao Paulo, Paris, Rome, London, Milan, Amsterdam and Tel Aviv.
