YORKTON, Sask. – There’s been no word as to when a canola-crushing plant in southeastern Saskatchewan will reopen after an explosion.
There was one minor injury in the blast at the Louis Dreyfus (Loo’-ee DRY’-fuss) Commodities plant in Yorkton on Friday.
Fire Chief Trevor Morrisey says investigators are still working with the company to pinpoint the cause.
The explosion occurred in a storage area.
The Yorkton plant along Highway 16 is one of the province’s main canola-processing facilities.
