PrivateBancorp Inc., up $8.36 to $44.29

CIBC said it will buy the bank holding company for $47 per share in cash and stock, or $3.73 billion.

Diamond Resorts International Inc., up $5.72 to $29.79

Apollo Global will buy the resort operator for $30.25 a share in cash, or $2.11 billion.

General Electric Co., up 61 cents to $30.55
