FREDERICTON – The New Brunswick government is looking for a partner to operate and maintain the Memramcook Golf Course.
Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Claude Williams says the goal of issuing a request for proposals is to keep the golf course open at no cost to the province.
The government is seeking a one-year renewable operations and maintenance agreement with a private sector operator for the 2014 season with an option to renew the deal in 2015.
Any potential operator of the 18-hole course must provide a business plan complete with information on financing, cost estimates, financial projections and secured capital.
The government says it will not be providing any financial assistance and will seek a flat fee percentage of revenues for use of the golf course.
Proposals will be accepted until Jan. 24.
