TORONTO – Some of the most active companies traded Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (13,395.40 up 24.57 points):

Air Canada (TSX:AC.B). Airline. Up 41 cents, or 5.73 per cent, at $7.56 on 3.42 million shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Plane and train maker. Down a penny, or 0.21 per cent, at $4.78 on 2.73 million shares.

Atrium Innovations Inc. (TSX:ATB). Dietary supplement. Up $4.67, or 23.85 per cent, at $24.25 on 2.57 million shares. A group of investors led by European private equity firm Permira will take over Atrium in a deal that pegs the enterprise value of the company at about $1.1 billion, including debt.

Colossus Minerals Inc. (TSX:CSI). Miner. Up 2.5 cents or 9.09 per cent, at 30 cents on 2.53 million shares.

American Bonanza Gold Corp. (TSX:BZA). Miner. Up half a cent, or 33.33 per cent, at two cents on 2.32 million shares.

Toronto Venture Exchange (934.89 up 8.21 points):

LX Ventures Inc. (TSXV:LXV). Computer hardware. Down 10 cents, or 11.63 per cent, at 76 cents on 4.48 million shares.

Zodiac Exploration Inc. (TSXV:ZEX). Oil and gas. Unchanged at six cents on 3.93 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Emera (TSX:EMA). Utilities. Down 13 cents, or 0.44 per cent, at $29.32 on 282,249 shares. Nova Scotia’s energy regulator has approved a revised agreement from the energy company to proceed with the $1.5-billion Maritime Link project, which would ship hydroelectricity from the Muskrat Falls project in Labrador to Nova Scotia.

Saputo (TSX:SAP). Dairy. Down 14 cents, or 0.29 per cent, at $48.42 on 179,018 shares. A regulator issued a temporary order that stops the Canadian dairy giant from adding to its shares in Warrnambool Cheese and Butter. The Australian Takeovers Panel responded to an application from Murray Goulburn Co-operative by placing an interim order on the company, which has accumulated nearly 10 per cent of Warrnambool shares.
