TORONTO – Some of the most active companies traded Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (13,362.06 up 12.29 points):

International Minerals Corp. (TSX:IMZ). Miner. Up four cents, or 1.44 per cent, at $2.81 on 4.80 million shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Plane and train maker. Up a penny, or 0.21 per cent, at $4.75 on 3.93 million shares.

Allana Potash Corp. (TSX:AAA). Miner. Up half a cent, or 1.37 per cent, at 37 cents on 3.86 million shares.

B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Up eight cents, or 3.92 per cent, at $2.12 on 3.51 million shares. The gold sector led the advancers on the main index, up 1.17 per cent at 158.82 points.

Coastal Energy Company (TSX:CEN). Oil and gas. Down two cents, or 0.11 per cent, at $18.84 on 3.23 million shares. The energy sector fell 0.34 per cent to 266.87 points.

Toronto Venture Exchange (929.53 up 0.93 points):

LX Ventures Inc. (TSXV:LXV). Technology. Up five cents, or 5.88 per cent, at 90 cents on 5.68 million shares.

Madalena Energy Inc. (TSXV:MVN). Oil and gas. Unchanged at 51 cents on 3.28 million shares.

Saputo (TSX:SAP). Dairy. Down seven cents, or 0.14 per cent, at $48.28 on 213,750 shares. Murray Goulburn Co-operative, Saputo’s chief rival in its bid for Australia dairy processor Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Factory, has asked the Australian Takeovers Panel to intervene to force the Montreal-based company to drop its latest revised bid.
