Orbite Technologies Inc. (TSX:ORT). Miner. Down 5.5 cents, or 15.07 per cent, to 31 cents on 16.3 million shares.
Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Oil and gas. Up $2.23, or 5.66 per cent, to $41.61 on 10.3 million shares.
Teck Resources Ltd. (TSX:TCK.B). Miner. Down 20 cents, or 0.71 per cent, to $27.94 on 6.1 million shares. Teck Resources says it earned $234 million in its latest quarter, helped by strong production and moves to reduce costs. The Vancouver-based mining company said the profit amounted to 40 cents per diluted share for the quarter ended Sept. 30.
Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Down 13 cents, or 2.65 per cent, to $4.78 on 5.8 million shares.
Canexus Corp. (TSX:CUS). Chemicals. Unchanged at $1.52 on 5.2 million shares.
Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Financial Services. Up 14 cents, or 0.72 per cent, to $19.62 on 5.2 million shares.

Cenovus Energy Inc. (TSX:CVE). Oil and gas. Up 56 cents, or 2.78 per cent, to $20.72 on 2.6 million shares. Cenovus reported a $251-million loss for the third quarter and said Thursday it’s looking for additional areas to cut costs. The loss amounted to 30 cents per share of the Calgary-based company, which is active in Alberta’s oilsands, conventional oil production and oil refining.
National Bank of Canada (TSX:NA). Bank. Up 82 cents, or 1.75 per cent, to $47.72 on 1.7 million shares. National Bank announced a restructuring that will see 600 jobs cut over the next year and an additional 300 workers offered retirements or moved to other positions. At the same time, the bank expects to fill 500 other positions over the same period, primarily in sales and service and information technology jobs.
