Enbridge Inc. (TSX:ENB). Oil and gas. Down $1.03, or 1.89 per cent, to $53.55 on 1.6 million shares. Enbridge Inc. has reached a US$177-million settlement with the U.S. government, including US$62 million in civil penalties, for two major pipeline leaks in 2010, one of which was among the costliest onshore spills in American history. The Calgary energy giant has vowed to beef up safety protocols in an effort to prevent spills like the one in Michigan, where nearly 3.2 million litres of crude flowed into the Kalamazoo River.
