Data Group Ltd. (TSX:DGI). Business services. Up half-a-cent, or 25 per cent, to 2.5 cents on 12.3 million shares.

Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Up five cents, or 0.77 per cent, to $6.53 on 8.5 million shares.

Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Oil and gas. Up 46 cents, or 6.41 per cent, to $7.64 on 8.3 million shares.

First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Up 35 cents, or 3.94 per cent, to $9.24 on 7.1 million shares.

Teck Resources Ltd. (TSX:TCK.B). Miner. Up 94 cents, or 6.12 per cent, to $16.31 on 6.2 million shares.

Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Up 37 cents, or 5.76 per cent, to $6.79 on 5.7 million shares.

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (TSX:CM). Bank. Down $2.56, or 2.55 per cent, to $97.92 on 4.3 million shares. After signalling for years that it was looking to increase its presence south of the border, CIBC announced Wednesday that it has entered into a deal to buy Chicago-based PrivateBancorp for C$4.9 billion. Several analysts called the deal pricey and noted that it will likely be several years before it boosts the Canadian bank’s earnings.
