Some of the most active companies traded Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Athabasca Oil Corp. (TSX:ATH). Oil and gas. Up 13 cents, or 10.16 per cent, to $1.41 on 9.3 million shares.

Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Down 14 cents, or 2.18 per cent, to $6.28 on 8.4 million shares.

Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Financial Services. Up 40 cents, or 2.23 per cent, to $18.37 on eight million shares.

Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Down two cents, or 0.32 per cent, to $6.19 on 7.3 million shares.

Tethys Petroleum Ltd. (TSX:TPL). Oil and gas. Up one cent, or 40 per cent, to 3.5 cents on seven million shares.

Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Oil and gas. Up 48 cents, or 6.69 per cent, to $7.65 on 6.5 million shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Up three cents, or 1.53 per cent, to $1.99 on 2.5 million shares. Bombardier Aerospace and its union have agreed on a plan for cutting 200 positions at the company’s Q400 manufacturing operation in Toronto so some work can be outsourced to other countries. Some of the Bombardier employees currently in those positions will be offered training and transfer opportunities within the company. Others will be offered retirement packages under the agreement with Unifor.
