HP and Ensco stumble while Salesforce and LendingTree rise

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Thursday on the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq stock market:

NYSE Inc., up $6.90 to $69.42

The customer-management software developer gave a strong outlook for 2016.

Anadarko Petroleum Corp., up $1.43 to $37.64

The oil and natural gas company said it has sold, or signed agreements to sell, $1.3 billion in assets this year.

Newfield Exploration Co., up 99 cents to $24.41

The oil and gas company reported a bigger-than-expected profit and said it will cut capital spending by more than half.

HP Inc., down 48 cents to $10.34

The PC and printer maker reported a smaller-than-expected quarterly profit.

Ensco PLC, down 40 cents to $7.88

The drilling rig company cut its quarterly dividend and said it will retire more of its rigs to cut costs.

Campbell Soup Co., up $2.09 to $62.62

The maker of canned soup, Pepperidge Farm cookies and V8 juice reported a bigger-than-expected quarterly profit.


LendingTree Inc., up $15.56 to $85.50

The online mortgage broker reported strong fourth-quarter results and raised its sales guidance for the year.

Dentsply International Inc., up $2.86 to $60.74

The dental products maker said its purchase of competitor Sirona will close on Monday after European regulators approved it.
