CHICAGO – Grain futures were lower Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for Sept. delivery fell 9.25 cents at $4.2475 a bushel; Sept. corn was off 5.50 cents to 3.5225 a bushel; Sept. oats lost 2.50 cents at $2.0425 a bushel; while Sept. soybeans declined 11.25 cents to $10.7250 a bushel.
Beef and pork were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. August live cattle was off 1.80 cents at $1.1092 a pound; August feeder cattle fell 2.13 cents to $1.3957 a pound; while July lean hogs lost .30 cent at $.8000 a pound.
