Goldman Sachs, Halliburton and Delta fall; Clorox climbs

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily on Tuesday:

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS), down $3.80 to $144.45

Bank stocks fell as the yield on Treasury bonds reached all-time lows, pushing interest rates down.

Clorox Co. (CLX), up $2.08 to $139.24

Household goods makers traded higher as investors looked for safety.

Halliburton Co. (HAL), down $2.03 to $43.53

Energy companies stumbled as the price of oil fell more than 4 per cent.

Gores Holdings Inc. (GRSH), up 24 cents to $10.02

Gores Holdings, an acquisition company, agreed to buy a majority stake in Twinkie-maker Hostess Brands.

PG&E Corp. (PCG), up 86 cents to $64.89

Utility companies made modest gains Tuesday as investors sold most other kinds of stocks.

Insys Therapeutics Inc. (INSY), up 93 cents to $14.40

Regulators approved Insys’ drug Syndros, a synthetic version of a component of marijuana.

Delta Air Lines Inc. (DAL), down $1.15 to $35.62

Investors were disappointing with the airline’s second-quarter forecast.

XBiotech Inc. (XBIT), down $8.10 to $16.80

The company reported results from a late-stage trial of an experimental colon cancer drug.
