TORONTO – Five things to watch this week in Canadian business:

Budding enterprise: Canada’s largest publicly traded marijuana company, Canopy Growth, releases financial results prior to the open of stock markets on Monday.

Gaming time: The owner of PokerStars and other online gambling businesses, Amaya Inc., holds its annual shareholders meeting on Tuesday in Montreal.

Conrad vs CRA: A federal court judge in Toronto is scheduled to hear a motion from Conrad Black, who is fighting the Canada Revenue Agency’s efforts to attach a lien on his Toronto mansion, which could hold up the sale of the property.

Grocery empire: The parent of the Sobeys chain, Empire Co., holds a conference call before stock markets open Wednesday to discuss results for the quarter and year ended in May.

Canadian holiday: Many Canadian businesses and most public-sector institutions will be closed Friday for Canada Day. The Toronto Stock Exchange will re-open the following Monday, when U.S. markets are closed for the Fourth of July.
