EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in agronomy, the study of crop production.
CAREER: Full-time family farmer before serving in the Missouri Legislature from 1993-2000. Elected to the House of Representatives from Missouri’s Sixth Congressional District in 2000, is now in his seventh term. Became chairman of the House Small Business Committee in 2011. Still co-owns family farm producing corn and soybeans.
FAMILY: Three children, Megan, Trey and Emily.
HOBBIES: Pilots private planes including a World War II North American T-6.
