ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Atlantic City’s casinos saw revenue decline slightly in June, down a bit more than 1 per cent compared to a year ago.
The eight casinos collectively won $216.5 million from gamblers, a decline of 1.2 per cent compared to June 2015.
Through the first six months of the year, the city’s casinos had won $1.25 billion. That’s a 2.5 per cent increase over the first six months of 2015.
Two of the eight casinos saw increases in June, including the Trump Taj Mahal. Workers went on strike July 1, but the casino’s take for June was 13.2 per cent higher than last June. The casino’s take for the first six months of 2016 is 3.6 per cent lower than in 2015.
Internet gambling in the state was up more than 40 per cent since last year, to $16.4 million.
